Kim Jacobs AO, MGSM '82 will join us as we discuss his experiences and what he has learned about starting, running and chairing successful public companies and charities. Kim is a true raconteur.
From heading up an international investment bank, to starting his own successful investment firm; from helping small business in Adelaide to advising Russian oligarchs (including having to judge a bathing suit competition in minus 45 degrees in the middle of Siberia); from President of the Australian Israel Chamber of Commerce to Chair of Camp Quality, Kim’s career and life journey from completing his MGSM MBA at the age of 24 has been extraordinary.
Kim will talk about his journey and about the life and business lessons he has learned along the way. You will learn from Kim, why corporate boards are almost impossible to get a seat on (but how to do it), why balance in everything is critical and, why “as Kim says, "if you’re in business and you’re not giving back, you’re not in business”.
