The MBA as we know it. Is it maturing, or in decline?
This is the first part of a series of video interviews with Prof. Bruce McKern. Bruce discusses with Randal Tame the beginnings of MGSM, as well as his views on the MBA program maintaining its relevance to the needs of business, and students.
Bruce McKern is the founding dean of MGSM, and also former Director of the Stanford Sloan Master’s Program and President of the Carnegie Bosch Institute. He was recently Professor and Co-director of the Centre on China Innovation at CEIBS, Shanghai, and a Visiting Research Fellow at Oxford University, INSEAD and Stanford’s Hoover Institution.
He is currently:
- Adjunct Professor, University of Technology Sydney,
- Member, International Advisory Committee, Research Centre for Technological Innovation,
Tsinghua University, Beijing,
- Adviser, Maritime Silk Road Society, Hong Kong and
- Board Member, UTS Business School Advisory Board.
