WE'RE DELIGHTED TO WELCOME MANY ALUMNI, EX-LECTURERS AND ACADEMIC STAFF WHO HAVE RECENTLY JOINED US.

Dear Foundation Members and other alumni,

A big welcome to many alumni who are receiving our newsletter for the first time. This last month has been a big one for us in reaching out to invite MGSM alumni to join the association, and we’re delighted with the number of new Foundation Members who are joining up to help shape the association into a valuable and sustainable asset for all of us. If you are not yet a Foundation Member, and wish to join, please press here.

Many Foundation Members will be invited this month to participate in an in-depth qualitative research program which will help clarify our advocacy agenda and the development of membership services. Our facilitators are members who have volunteered to support the research, under the direction of Adam Faulkner, MBA 2012, founder of blueegg. Our facilitators include John Cooksey (1998), Karen Ganschow (1990), Rosalyn Ronning (2004) and John Zavaglia (2018).

We have also been delighted to welcome many ex-lecturers and academic staff from MGSM who have recently joined the MSMAA as a way of keeping in touch with their former students.

In the months ahead we will be running the on-line Alumni Café (for small groups, enabling in depth discussions), and Alumni Auditorium (for larger groups, but still focussed on alumni and lecturer interactivity). I encourage you to watch out for announcements soon for these valuable online events.

Increasingly we are being given great content for alumni by current and ex MGSM lecturers.

We are delighted to announce two major sponsorships of the MGSMAA this month, from creative agencies which are both headed up by MGSM alumni:

· blueegg, an experience design UX agency, founded by Adam Faulkner MBA 2012

· Ingogo, a digital marketing agency, founded by Tom Sadler MBA 2012

With our useful content and networking opportunities for alumni growing, it’s important to note that the best resources and events will increasingly be available for members only - and so we encourage you to join if you have not already done so. Benefits of membership include:

· First access to events and networking opportunities which have limited capacity

· Access to member-only content on our website (coming soon)

· Involvement in shaping the future of the association via research input

· Invitations to participate in board sub-committee projects – recreate that syndicate group experience!

The MGSMAA Board and I look forward to catching up with you virtually in the short term, and face to face when social distancing allows.
